Milo Productions Inc. and Fathom Entertainment will bring animated feature “Time Hoppers: The Silk Road” to theaters on Feb. 7 and Feb. 8.

“Our partnership with Fathom marks a momentous milestone for Muslim storytellers,” Milo Productions CEO, Michael Milo, said in a statement. “This film is the realization of a decade-long dream — to give our community the opportunity to see themselves and our shared histories reflected on the big screen.”

“Time Hoppers: The Silk Road” marks Milo Productions’ inaugural feature film and represents the first-ever Muslim animation property to receive a nationwide theatrical release. Based on an RPG game, the film is expected to premiere on the streaming service Muslim Kids TV in 2026.

The film honors the heritage of Muslim culture during the “Golden Age of Islam” and will feature Muslim pioneers, including the “father of algebra” Al-Khwarizmi, the “pioneer of optics” Ibn Al-Haytham, astronomer Maryam Al-Astrolabi and Mansa Musa, a patron of science, education and arts.

Ray Nutt, Fathom Entertainment CEO, said about the partnership, “Fathom Entertainment is very proud to partner with Milo Productions and make history in bringing to U.S. theaters ‘Time Hoppers: The Silk Road,’ an authentic, family-friendly Muslim American themed animated film from Muslim American content creators.”

He continued, “With a growing population of approximately 4.5 million nationwide by some estimates, Muslim Americans are an important, but underrepresented part of our country’s melting pot of culture and faith.”
