Looks like Twilight fans are in for a treat — the vampire saga is heading back to theaters this fall.

On Wednesday, the official Instagram account for the blockbuster franchise shared an image of Bella, Edward, and Jacob — the central human, vampire, and werewolf characters played by Kristen StewartRobert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner — with the words “Forever Begins Again,” “The Twilight Saga,” and “This October,” teasing that something special was in the works.

Now, more details have been revealed.

Fathom Entertainment, the leading specialty distributor of content to theatrical partners worldwide, is partnering with Lionsgate to send The Twilight Saga back into theaters this fall as part of Fathom’s Fan Favorite series. It will be available to watch on the silver screen nationwide from Oct. 29 until Nov. 2.

Lionsgate acquired Twilight production company Summit in 2012, and Fathom Events brings classic movies and special filmed events to theaters.

There are five titles in the romantic vampire tale: Twilight (2008), The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009), The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011), and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012).

This celebration also marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the first book in author Stephenie Meyer’s supernatural series on which the movies are based.

Included with some screenings will be roundtable chats for each of the films, with participants including Meyer, producers Wyck Godfrey and Karen Rosenfelt, and former Lionsgate co-president of production Gillian Bohrer.

Twilight fans are some of the most passionate anywhere, making this iconic movie franchise the epitome of a modern-day classic, which Fathom Entertainment is thrilled to help bring back to the big screen in this special cinematic engagement,” said Ray Nutt, chief executive officer of Fathom Entertainment. “With our partners at Lionsgate, we celebrate 20 years since Stephenie Meyer’s first Twilight book was published and encourage fans to relish The Twilight Saga.”

To say that Twi-hards — hard-core fans of the franchise — who saw Wednesday’s teaser post were excited about a new development is an understatement. They speculated that Bella’s love triangle with vampire Edward and werewolf Jacob would play out once more in theaters or that there might be a new movie, animated TV series, or even book.

Comments included, “Y’all, I am going to burst into fangirl flames,” and “What is going on?” Even the game show Jeopardy‘s account wrote “OMG OMG OMG.”

Tickets for screenings ofThe Twilight Saga are on sale now at Fathom Entertainment and participating box offices.

The Twilight films have grossed more than $3.3 billion worldwide globally, and the films launched the careers of its young cast, which also included Anna KendrickNikki ReedKellan LutzJackson Rathbone, and Ashley Greene. Actors Billy BurkePeter Facinelli, and Elizabeth Reaser also played central roles.

Kendrick, who played a human in the first four movies, spoke about the frenzy surrounding Twilight in an October 2024 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

“I was really lucky to not be dealing with the eye of the storm,” she said. “You know? I think that a lot of the folks that were in the movie, even in the later movies, as long as you were a supernatural character, if you had one line, you couldn’t leave your hotel room. People were crazy, and people were criticizing, ‘Oh, but she has green eyes in the book,’ or whatever. And I just didn’t have to deal with any of that.”

One person who did is Lautner, who joked in November that heroine Bella should have ended up with his Jacob instead of Edward.
