Omar Epps in Moses The Black
EXCLUSIVE: Fathom Entertainment is partnering with Simeon Faith, the Nick Mirkopoulos Cinematic Fund, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, to release Moses The Black, the gangland crime pic starring Omar Epps, rappers Wiz Khalifa and Quavo, and Chukwudi Iwuji.
Fathom will release domestically from January 30th, 2026. We can also reveal that the movie will feature an original soundtrack exec-produced by Wiz Khalifa, featuring Quavo and others.
The story about a gangster in modern day Chicago is inspired by the repentance story of the fifth-century saint of the same name. Epps plays Chicago gang leader and lead character Malik, with Khalifa as 2wo-3ree, the confident and volatile leader of Malik’s young crew. It marks the Grammy nominated rapper’s second movie role and his first as one of the leads. Quavo plays Straw, Malik’s arch-nemesis. The title character, St. Moses the Black, is played by Iwuji. Below is a first look at Epps in the film.
