Ahead of its 25th anniversary, the beloved comedy is returning to the big screen for a limited celebration that’s as stylish and spirited as Elle Woods herself.

Fathom Entertainment, alongside Amazon MGM Studios and Park Circus, is bringing Legally Blonde back to theaters nationwide for a special two-day engagement on May 24 and May 27.

It won’t just be a nostalgic rewatch of the 2001 hit, but rather an event designed for longtime fans and a new generation ready to fall in love with Elle’s charm. The anniversary screenings will feature a sneak peek at the upcoming prequel series, Elle, along with exclusive introductions from both Reese Witherspoon and Lexi Minetree, who steps into the role of a younger Elle in the new show.

With a little something extra sprinkled in, the rerelease promises to make audiences say, “Omigod, you guys!” all over again — and tickets are available now.

The two-day celebration comes a few months before the beloved rom-com — which also starred Ali Larter, Jennifer Coolidge, Luke Wilson, Linda Cardellini, Selma Blair and more — turns 25 on July 13, 2026.

The full-circle moment bridges the original film with its next chapter, especially as Elle prepares to debut on Prime Video on July 1, 2026.

Fathom Entertainment CEO Ray Nutt tells PEOPLE in a statement: “Fans young and old will enjoy revisiting this 2001 classic with an exclusive, heartfelt introduction from the two actresses who are ‘Elle Woods,’ Reese Witherspoon and Lexi Minetree.”

That question is beginning to be answered with Elle, which explores the iconic character’s high school years and the experiences that shaped her into the determined, optimistic young woman audiences adore.

The series stars Minetree alongside June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott, with Witherspoon also serving as an executive producer.
