It’s Back: Big, Loud & Live Set to Return to Movie Theatres On August 7 for 2025 DCI World Championship Prelims

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Denver – June 26, 2025 – After a one-year hiatus, Big, Loud & Live will return to select movie theatres nationwide on Thursday, August 7, bringing the sights and sounds of the 2025 Drum Corps International (DCI) World Championship Prelims back to the big screen. Presented in partnership with Fathom Entertainment, the leading specialty distributor of content to theatrical partners worldwide, the live broadcast will feature the top-15 drum corps performing at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The approximately five-hour event will include live commentary, interviews, and real-time scoring, offering theater-goers an immersive look into one of the most anticipated nights of the annual Drum Corps International Tour.

“The goal of Big, Loud & Live has always been as a celebratory social event and what better than coming back to the big screen in 2025,” said longtime DCI broadcast host Steve Rondinaro. “It’s a chance to get off the couch, gather with friends, and experience the energy of Marching Music’s Major League together as a community. And of course, bring someone new to the activity and cheer loud and proud!”

Following a short hiatus in 2024 and after significant feedback from fans and corps directors during the offseason, a decision was reached to revive the program for 2025.

“Bringing DCI 2025: Big, Loud & Live to theatres is great for its fans and especially gratifying for me, as I visited DCI at its former corporate office in Addison, Illinois more than 20 years ago to discuss a possible theatrical event, resulting in the DCI World Championships first coming to the big screen,” said Ray Nutt, CEO at Fathom Entertainment. “The relationship and theatrical footprint have grown significantly since then, with DCI’s live events reaching broader audiences, culminating each summer at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and on screens nationwide. The Fathom team is elated to see DCI back in theatres and will welcome one of the most loyal and dedicated fanbases in the world.”

“The corps were in strong favor of bringing this program back and confident that our fans will turn out in big numbers,” said DCI CEO Nate Boudreaux. “We’re hopeful that this renewed support helps ensure Big, Loud & Live will continue in theatres with our partners at Fathom Entertainment as a part of future seasons.”

Tickets for DCI 2025: Big, Loud & Live will be available on July 11, 2025 at Fathom Entertainment and participating theatre box offices (theatre locations are subject to change).
