Nashville, Tenn., and Denver, Colo. – June 25, 2025 – Fathom Entertainment, the leading specialty distributor of content to theatrical partners worldwide, announced today with Karen Kingsbury Productions the upcoming nationwide theatrical premiere of its latest holiday film, The Christmas Ring. Scheduled to premiere nationwide in theatres beginning November 6, 2025, the heartwarming holiday romance project comes to Fathom from #1 New York Times bestselling author and filmmaker Karen Kingsbury.
Based on the latest Kingsbury novel, The Christmas Ring follows the strong 2024 box office performance of Someone Like You, a romance drama from Kingsbury also distributed by Fathom Entertainment. With nearly $6M in box office revenue, Someone Like You is Fathom’s second highest ever faith-based scripted movie (behind Christmas with The Chosen: The Messengers) and earned Verified Hot status (96%) on the Rotten Tomatoes Popcornmeter.
Starring Jana Kramer (“One Tree Hill,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Entourage”) and Kristoffer Polaha (The Shift, Jurassic World: Dominion, Wonder Woman 1984),The Christmas Ring reunites key members of the Someone Like You creative team, including director Tyler Russell and producer Natalie Ruffino Wilson.
The Christmas Ring centers on a Gold Star widow (Kramer) searching for her family’s missing Christmas ring, only to cross paths with a charismatic antiques dealer (Polaha) whose own family history may be connected to the mystery.

Tickets for The Christmas Ring will be available later this Fall at Fathom Entertainment and participating theatre box offices (theatre locations are subject to change).
The nationwide theatrical premiere of The Christmas Ring will be accompanied by the launch of a new novel of the same name (Thomas Nelson/HarperCollins – Oct. 21), offering audiences a dual storytelling experience just in time for the season.

About Kristoffer Polaha
Kristoffer is probably best-known for starring in the critically acclaimed The CW series “Life Unexpected.” Other TV credits include Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ series “Landman,” Harlen Coben’s Amazon Prime Video series “Shelter,” the EPIX limited series “Get Shorty” opposite Ray Romano and Chris O’Dowd, as well as the limited series “Condor” opposite William Hurt and Max Irons for MGM and Paramount Television. He also co-starred with Rainn Wilson in the Fox series “Backstrom,” as well as a number of TV series over the past fifteen years, including “North Shore,” “Miss Guided,” “Jersey,” “Ringer” and “Valentine;” in addition to a multi-season recurring role on the acclaimed series “Mad Men” and numerous guest stars on both cable and network series. Kris is also well known for his many starring roles in the Hallmark Hall of Fame series of television movies.
On the feature side, Kris starred as the lead in the film The Shift for director Brock Heasley. He was featured as ‘Handsome Man’ in Wonder Woman 1984 for Warner Brother Studios as well as the blockbuster Jurassic World Dominion for Universal Studios. He has also appeared in numerous independent features, including Where Hope Grows, Back in the Day, Devil’s Knot and Petty Crimes.
He recently wrote, directed, and starred in the short film, “A Work of Art,” which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, and will make his feature directorial debut with MIMICS, in theaters 2026.
