Sleigh bells are ringing, lights are twinkling, and the holiday spirit is once again filling the air. Soon, families and friends will gather to celebrate the season by sharing laughter, traditions, and a little well-deserved time together. For movie lovers, that means heading to their local theatre to enjoy a beloved classic or this year’s newest feel-good release.

This year, the big screen is becoming a holiday wonderland all its own, brimming with cozy Christmas romances, breathtaking ballet performances, and show-stopping musical moments that capture the joy of the season. Each theatrical experience is a chance to share a smile and feel that unmistakable holiday glow.
As the holiday season approaches, we wanted to highlight six theatrical experiences we are bringing to the big screen this year.
If your favorite part of the holidays involves curling up with a feel-good Christmas romance, Another Sweet Christmas is the ultimate treat waiting under the tree.
Starring the beloved “Queen of Christmas” herself, Candace Cameron Bure, alongside the always charming Cameron Mathison, this brand-new romantic comedy captures everything we adore about the season: love, laughter, small-town charm, and the glow of a thousand Christmas lights.
In this heartwarming story, Sophie (Bure) and Sam (Mathison) find their fairytale love story turned into a Christmas movie, transforming their hometown of Waynesbridge, Washington, into a dazzling holiday film set. But when the line between reel and real life starts to blur, the couple must navigate what happens when the cameras stop rolling and real love takes center stage.
Overflowing with cherished traditions, laughter, and unforgettable mistletoe moments, Another Sweet Christmas is a celebration of commitment, joy, and the kind of love that lasts long after the decorations come down.
Another Sweet Christmas will be in theatres nationwide starting November 30th.
The holidays are a time for looking back at friendships, at dreams, and at the winding road that brought us to where we are. Few stories capture that reflective spirit better than Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along.
Spanning three decades of love, ambition, and creative passion, this musical masterpiece follows the evolving friendship between composer Franklin Shepard (Jonathan Groff), writer Mary Flynn (Lindsay Mendez), and lyricist-playwright Charley Kringas (Daniel Radcliffe). Told in reverse, the story begins with their grown-up struggles and rewinds to the idealistic beginnings of their artistic journey, revealing how time changes not just dreams but hearts.
Directed by Maria Friedman, the recent Broadway revival of Merrily We Roll Along became a sensation, winning multiple Tony Awards® in 2024 and earning universal acclaim for its emotional honesty and powerful performances. With some of Sondheim’s most personal and poignant songs, the film version allows audiences to experience this landmark production on the big screen, where every note and lyric resonate even more deeply.
Merrily We Roll Along will be in theatres nationwide starting December 5th.
For many, the holiday season begins the moment music fills the air, and no one brings that sound to life quite like André Rieu. With his world-renowned Johann Strauss Orchestra and a stage bursting with light, laughter, and color, André’s annual Christmas concert has become a cherished global tradition. This year’s cinematic event, Merry Christmas, is set to be his most spectacular yet, featuring beloved carols, romantic waltzes, and plenty of festive surprises.
Special guests include the sensational Emma Kok and over 400 brass players who fill every moment with the majestic sound of the season. Add in André’s signature warmth and humor, and you’ve got a concert experience that feels like a joyful gathering of friends, even when viewed from your local theatre.
André Rieu’s 2025 Christmas Concert: Merry Christmas will be in theatres nationwide on December 7th and 10th.
Imagine Christmas Eve in Paris, the Eiffel Tower shimmering like a silver tree, snowflakes swirling against the city skyline, and one of the most powerful voices in pop music echoing through the night. That’s the world of Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris, a breathtaking live celebration marking the 25th anniversary of her beloved holiday album My Kind of Christmas.
Directed by Emmy® Award winner Sam Wrench (Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, Billie Eilish: Live at the O2, Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration), this theatrical experience transforms holiday music into a cinematic fantasy. Shot on a winter-garden terrace high above the Musée du Quai Branly, Christina delivers soaring renditions of holiday classics and career-defining hits with the Paris skyline and a glittering Eiffel Tower as her stage.
Between songs, the film drifts through dreamy Parisian interludes, offering glimpses of Christina reflecting on love, motherhood, reinvention, and artistry. The film crescendos in a snow-kissed finale beneath the Eiffel Tower’s twinkling lights, a cinematic moment so breathtaking it feels like a dream.
Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris will be in theatres nationwide on December 14th and 21st.
The Royal Ballet: The Nutcracker has captivated audiences on stage and screen for generations, bringing festive cheer and a touch of magic to the holiday season. Composed by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and first performed in December 1892, this beloved ballet has been reimagined countless times. Peter Wright’s production is a dazzling holiday treat that blends timeless storytelling with breathtaking dance, following young Clara on a magical adventure.
The story begins at a cozy Christmas Eve party, where the magician Herr Drosselmeyer gives young Clara a mysterious Nutcracker doll. When midnight strikes, the world transforms: toys come to life, snow begins to fall, and a magical battle unfolds between the Nutcracker and the wicked Mouse King. From there, Clara embarks on a breathtaking journey through the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets, a place where dreams waltz in time to Tchaikovsky’s timeless score.

The Royal Ballet: The Nutcracker is a celebration of courage, enchantment, and the spirit of Christmas, a holiday tradition the entire family can enjoy together. Even if you are new to ballet, you will be drawn into the beauty and wonder of each scene. From the enchanting winter wonderland to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, this production is sure to become a cherished classic for years to come.
